Officer's Gorget

Usually depicting allegiance, rank or nobility, the gorgets of this period where beginning to become more decorative and less a necessary part of armour.  These gorget are solid and well made with a high polish finish and a highly detailed coat-of-arms insignia.  Leather thong ties the gorget to oneself.  Either for you costume or simply a nice detail for your office or home these are truly a exquisite piece of a very colorful period in history.
