It's time to clean house at The Dorsett House, !nc.

Look Below for "one time only" and "one of a kind" items for sale.

It's time for Chuck to make a new suit of Armour so I am selling this magnificent suit to make way for the next design!

To the left is a pic of the full suit (with some extras that are not included in the price) and below are some pics of the separate items that make up the full suit of armour.  This is nothing that I would make on a production basis and if you continue to read you will see why.  I have produced this suit to wear to Fairs and because of that it is the very best I can make.  There is a lot to mention here so I will just roll and additional pics of each item will follow.

Since this was my personal suit, I made the Pauldrons, Couters, Besagews and Chause Knees out of a 20/21 oz leather (not kidding).  The Cuirass, Arm Guards, and upper Chause pieces are 15/16 oz (not baked). The formed pieces are baked for extra strength (like it needs it).  The  hand tooled pattern is a snake/dragon scale that has been hand painted in burgundy and each scale has a gold painted tip to give it a magnificent hand tooled/fantasy look.

Additionally, I have inset generic tooling and then hand painted the inset with black dye to fill in the non-scale tooled areas.  Every scale of the armour is tooled and each piece of the armour is edged with a hand tool in a very period fashion.  This suit carries just about every piece of pewter I have designed and sell on this site, including: Round horns, Tudor Rose Belt Plates, 8 Point Fleur de Lis Belts plates, Roman Legion Plates and dangling Lion Heads, Fantasy Cougar and Bobcat Claws and Pewter Castle Beads (see Besagew lace ends).

Further decoration on the Cuirass includes chainmail skirting  (crotch area) in black with a nickle mail border and is backed with a piece of brown oily side and the same lames grace the bottom of the Cuirass that adorn the Roman Legion Belt.  The Pauldrons come with the same mail skirting as the Cuirass (Black with Nickle edging) which hangs  form the arm straps to below the Couter.

The cuirass comes with two long belts,  1 is 1 1/2" and the second is 1 1/4" for a truly period armour look.  The wider belt is a mix between the Tudor Rose and The Louis War belts.  And lastly (I think), the cuirass comes with a "Three Quarter" length Cloak cut from a single piece of "rough finished" brown upholstery weight leather ( about 70" wide at the base) with a hand sewn collar with parachute spots and a Brazilian rabbit skin for a very fantasy look.  The cloak ties to the adjustment straps on the shoulders of the Cuirass.  The following photo is a little big but I wanted this one to show the detail that  all of the items carry.

The Pauldrons also are 20/21 oz leather, baked and tooled with the scale decoration and have a flange over the top edge with the scale pattern. The Pauldrons carry the  Pewter Round Horns, and the Couter (18/19 oz) are tooled with a beautiful swirl inset pattern that is painted in with black dye (This is the design my next suit will carry) and the Besagew have  Pewter Round Horns and both Couter and Besagew come with the tooled edges.

The Arm Guards are 15/16 oz leather, baked and are tooled with the Scale pattern and the edge pattern and are lined (just around the wrist) with sheepskin.  They lace up for a comfortable fit.

The Chause carry the same Scale tooling and edge tooling and have additional panels for the outside of the legs.  The Chause connect to the Cuirass with buckles attached to the top of the Chause and carry the same scale.  The also have a side panel for the outside of the leg.  The two lames that make up the knee are 20/21 oz leather and the upper portion is 15/16 oz.  These connect to the Cuirass with buckles and are a bit adjustable up and down (about 4" to 5").

The Fantasy Helmet is a Chuck Inman Original with a dragon  cut inset of brass and is just about a One-of-a-Kind.

And, Lastly, the final touch to the full suit is a standard Mail Coif in blackened steel.

The above suit fits a waist/girth size of roughly 32"-40" and can be adjusted a bit around the shoulder thus giving it a height of anywhere from 5'7" +/- to 6' 5" +/-.  The suit is for sale as a full set and items will not be sold separately.

Remember, this is a suit I have made for myself so it is the very best work I can do  and is made with the heaviest/highest quality leather to come through my shop and it absolutely is a One-of-a-Kind!  I have only worn it to two or three days of Fair.  Secondly, I won't have another one of these ever.  My next suit will be for sale in the coming years but this is a rare opportunity to get a suit that no other leathersmith will ever match and you will never be out-dressed at any event you attend!

Total Price for the set, which includes: Cuirass, 2 Longbelts, Cloak, Pauldrons, Couter, Besagew, Armguards, Chause, Helmet and Mail coif: $2850.00.  This will include shipping and it is ready to ship whenever you say "I must have it"!

Though not included in the price for the armour, I am selling the sword that  I have always worn with this suit and I have made the scabbard and wrapped the handle to match the above suit.  I don't remember what Museum Replicas LTD  called this sword but it is one of only 25 produced.  The sword is a pre-India Museum Replicas sword with a Del Tin blade and a laser cut dragons for the guard and a laser engraved dragon on the pommel.  The handle is red suede (to match the armour) with a wire wrap,  The scabbard is side sewn in brown with real Python for the throat and tip and has a small burgundy hand painted design in the center.  The scabbard also has a built on frog that will work with my 14th Century Sword Belt.  If you want to buy the above suit and the sword I will toss in a frog. $775.00  Price includes shipping.

Museum Replicas Pre-India Glamdring (the one the LOTR people said they had to drop because of copywrite issues).  The blade is Del Tin and it comes with a hand tooled Celtic knotwork (my own tooling and one of my first projects) scabbard with a shoulder strap to carry on you back and a belt loop for your belt.  This sword is not new, nor is the scabbard.  It needs some love and a good polishing wheel.  The blade has several small nicks and some minor rust on the pommel.-$600.00 Price includes shipping.

Pre India Museum Replicas LTD Medieval Short Sword, Bronze Pommel and Del Tin Blade. The scabbard is a bit rough but it was one of my first attempts at a "Rear Ridge" sewn scabbard.  It has an etched knotwork design and two O-rings for a frog connection $375.00 Price Includes shipping.

This was custom made for me in the Museum Replicas shop and has a Del Tin two fuller blade with a two handed handle which I re-wraped in black suede and added some standing design (very period).  The scabbard has cut-outs so that the quality of the dual fuller can be seen when it's in the scabbard.  This is a one-of-a-kind sword and has a very high level of quality. $650.00  Price includes shipping.

This is a Shell Guard Pirate Cutlass from Museum Replicas that I obtained in some fashion.  I am not sure if it is Del Tin or India.  The pommel can unscrew to allow the shell guard to be removed.  The edge has been sharpened and it does not come with a scabbard. $250.00 Price includes shipping.
